SECTION 2: COMPLETE PACKAGE LIST
================================================================================
This section is ONE COMPLETE LIST of every open-source package that
has been part of this project at any point in its history. The
packages are listed together in alphabetical order; they are not
grouped or separated by whether they are shipped, used at build
time, or carried over from an earlier build generation.
Each package below is licensed under the MIT License, the full text
of which is reproduced here, unless a different license is
explicitly noted in its row. For packages under a non-MIT license,
the full license text is reproduced in Section 2.3.

Notes to the list:
(1) Where two versions are shown separated by " / ", the first is
the verified version for the current build and the second is the
version recorded for that package in Revision 1. This notation
is used for crypto-js, iconv-lite, find-up, locate-path,
p-locate, path-exists, type-fest, fast-uri and dot-prop.
(2) Versions shown as ranges (for example 8.x, 1.x) reflect the
dependency ranges declared for the current build; the exact
installed version of each package is pinned by the build
lockfile (the original lockfile pinned, for example, ajv
8.12.0) and is visible in the asar listing described in
Section 4.
(3) node-fetch declares "encoding" as a peer dependency. Package
managers since npm 7 (2020) install peer dependencies
automatically, so encoding - and its own dependencies
iconv-lite and safer-buffer - are present in the installed
node_modules and are bundled into app.asar. If the build
lockfile was generated with peer dependencies skipped (for
example with npm --legacy-peer-deps), these three packages may
be absent from the archive; they are attributed either way out
of caution.
(4) type-fest is dual-licensed "MIT OR CC0-1.0" - either license
may be chosen. The MIT license reproduced above applies.
(5) fast-uri ships only when the build lockfile resolves ajv to
8.17 or later (the original lockfile pinned ajv 8.12.0 and did
not include it). Earlier fast-uri releases (2.x and 3.0.x) were
MIT-licensed; from version 3.1 the license is BSD-3-Clause.
(6) Entries marked "earlier build (Rev 1)" come from Revision 1 of
this document and describe an earlier build generation of the
product (a local express/ws server component and its
dependency families). Their versions are as recorded in
Revision 1. Copies of earlier product versions that were
already distributed remain covered by these attributions.
(7) Entries marked "build tool (dev)" or "build tool (native)" are
development tools that run on the build machine only and are
never distributed with the product. Their permissive licenses
impose no obligations on the product or on its output; they are
listed here for completeness. Their own internal dependency
trees are not reproduced in this document because those
packages never form part of the product in any form.
(8) The exact shipped version of every package in the current
installer is recorded in Section 2.4.
2.2 COPYRIGHT NOTICES AND AUTHORS
The notices below identify the copyright holders of the packages in
the list. For packages that ship in the current installer, each
package's own LICENSE file also remains inside app.asar (see
Section 4); that file is the authoritative notice.

LICENSE.BSD file, which ships with the placeholder shown. The
package's npm registry record lists the author/copyright holder
as: Timofey Kachalov.
2.4 EXACT SHIPPED VERSIONS
The table below records the exact version of every package
present in the current installer; it therefore records what
ships. Packages whose Section 2.1 version was already exact
(electron 32.3.3, electron-builder 26.15.3, electron-store 8.1.0,
node-fetch 2.6.7, uuid 9.0.0, crypto-js 4.2.0) are repeated here
so that this table is complete in one place.

Notes to the table:
(1) mimic-fn appears twice because two of its versions (2.1.0
and 3.1.0) are present in the shipped archive; both are
attributed.
(2) react and react-dom: the audit's build graph records 18.3.1,
inlined into the application bundle. Section 2.1 retains the
18.2.0 recorded in Revision 4; both versions are on record.
(3) fast-uri: the shipped version 3.1.0 carries the BSD-3-Clause
licence (full text in Section 2.3); the range notation in
Section 2.1 is retained unchanged.
(4) type-fest is dual-licensed "MIT OR CC0-1.0" (Section 2.1,
note 4); the exact shipped version is 2.19.0.
(5) elevate.exe: the electron-builder entry includes its
MIT-licensed elevation helper elevate.exe, which the
installer places alongside the app as a standalone file in
the resources folder. It is covered by the electron-builder
attribution; no separate entry is required.
2.5 THE PRODUCT'S OWN PACKAGE
The product's own package is recorded here so that every package
present in the shipped archive is named in this document:
boxxkandi-radio-studio 1.0.0
License: Proprietary - all rights reserved.
Copyright (c) Absolutely AV Trading cc 2026 (BoxxKandi Software Studio). All rights reserved.
Role: the product itself - the application being
distributed. This is the application's own package.json
entry, not third-party software.
Note: it carries no third-party licence and imposes no
obligations beyond this document.
================================================================================
SECTION 3: COMMERCIAL USE AND SELLING - SUMMARY
================================================================================
This section summarizes, in plain language, what the licenses in
this document mean for selling the product commercially. It covers
every entry in Section 2 - packages that ship, build tools, and
earlier-generation entries alike.
License Applies to Commercial
use and sale
------------------ ------------------------------------------ -----------
MIT most packages in Section 2, including the Permitted
React/ReactDOM bundle and the Electron
framework (Section 1)
BSD-2-Clause json-schema-typed, webidl-conversions, Permitted
javascript-obfuscator, webpack-obfuscator
BSD-3-Clause fast-uri 3.1+ (when present, note 5), Permitted
qs
ISC semver, inherits, rimraf, glob Permitted
MIT OR CC0-1.0 type-fest (either license may be chosen; Permitted
the MIT option applies)
1. Every package in this document - whether it ships in the current
installer, is a build tool, or belongs to an earlier build
generation - is distributed under a permissive open-source
license (MIT, BSD-2-Clause, BSD-3-Clause, or ISC, plus the dual
MIT/CC0-1.0 option for type-fest). These licenses permit
commercial use, modification, redistribution, and selling the
software as part of a larger product, without fees, royalties,
or revenue sharing.
2. No copyleft license (GPL, AGPL, LGPL, SSPL, MPL or similar)
applies to any entry in this document. None of these licenses
obliges you to disclose the source code of BoxxKandi itself -
including the compiled/bytecode and encrypted modules.
3. For packages that ship in the current installer, the conditions
attached are notice obligations only. They are satisfied as
long as the following travel with the product:
a) this THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES file;
b) each package's own LICENSE file, which remains inside
app.asar;
c) LICENSE.electron.txt and LICENSES.chromium.html, which the
installer extracts to the installation folder
(electron-builder places them there automatically).
The build tools and the earlier-generation entries impose no
obligations on the current product, because they are not
distributed with it.
4. The Chromium and Node.js components inside the Electron
framework are covered by the bundled LICENSES.chromium.html file
(Section 1.1). This is the same compliance mechanism used by
essentially every commercial Electron application.
5. Package names and trademarks are used in this file purely for
attribution. Nothing here implies endorsement of this product by
any package author, and "BoxxKandi" remains the trademark of its
owner.
6. This section is a plain-language summary provided for
convenience. The full license texts in this document and inside
app.asar are the authoritative terms. For complete assurance
before commercial release, a review by qualified legal counsel is
recommended.
7. The product's own package (boxxkandi-radio-studio 1.0.0,
Section 2.5) is the application itself. It is proprietary,
carries no third-party licence, and imposes no obligations
beyond this document; the permissive licences summarised
above apply to the third-party components the product
incorporates.
================================================================================
SECTION 4: VIEWING INDIVIDUAL LICENSE FILES
================================================================================
Each open-source package that ships in the installer also ships with
its own LICENSE file inside the application archive (app.asar). To
view the original license file for any specific package:
Option A (recommended): Visit the package's homepage or the
per-package metadata on the npm registry at https://www.npmjs.com/.
Option B (technical users only): The application must first be
installed. Once installed, extract app.asar using the asar
command-line tool and read the LICENSE file in the package's
folder:
1. Open Command Prompt in the installation folder
(the folder where you installed the product)
2. Navigate to the resources subfolder:
cd resources
3. List all packages in the archive:
npx asar list app.asar
4. Extract the archive to a temporary folder:
npx asar extract app.asar app-extracted
5. Browse to:
app-extracted\node_modules\<package-name>\LICENSE
Option C: The package.json file inside each package's folder inside
app.asar contains the license type, repository URL, and author
information.
================================================================================
SECTION 5: SUPPORTED MEDIA FORMATS - LICENCE AND ATTRIBUTION STATUS
================================================================================
This section lists every media FORMAT the products support, and the
licence position of each. It covers the BoxxKandi Radio Studio
(v1075CO and later) and the BoxxKandi Universal Soundboard web
edition (soundboard19A and later).
Every format listed in 5.1 and 5.2 below is royalty-free: it may be
used, imported, played and sold commercially in the products without
licence fees, per-unit payments or patent-pool royalties.
The products do NOT bundle or redistribute any codec implementation.
Audio decoding at runtime is performed by the Chromium engine inside
Electron, whose complete third-party licence list is bundled with
the installer as LICENSES.chromium.html (see Section 1). The BSD
licence notices in 5.1 are included on a belt-and-braces basis: they
apply if the named reference codec software is ever redistributed
with the products, which it currently is not.
5.1 FORMATS WHOSE REFERENCE IMPLEMENTATIONS CARRY AN ATTRIBUTION
(BSD-STYLE) LICENCE
------------------------------------------------------------
Attribution obligation: if the codec software below is
redistributed, its copyright notice and licence text must be
retained. No payment is due in any circumstance.
FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec)
Reference codec: libFLAC - Xiph.Org Foundation
Licence: BSD 3-Clause
Status: the format is patent-free and royalty-free; free for
commercial use.
Ogg (media container)
Reference library: libogg - Xiph.Org Foundation
Licence: BSD 3-Clause
Status: the container is patent-free and royalty-free.
Vorbis (audio codec, used in .ogg files)
Reference codec: libvorbis - Xiph.Org Foundation
Licence: BSD 3-Clause
Status: patent-free and royalty-free.
Opus (audio codec, IETF standard RFC 6716)
Reference codec: libopus - Xiph.Org Foundation
Licence: BSD 3-Clause
Status: royalty-free for all users; the known Opus patents
are covered by royalty-free public licences granted by
Xiph.Org and the other holders.
WavPack
Reference codec: libwavpack - David Bryant
Licence: BSD 3-Clause
Status: royalty-free; free for commercial use.
Monkey's Audio (APE)
Reference SDK: Monkey's Audio - Matthew T. Ashland
Licence: permissive BSD-style licence with attribution
Status: the format is freely usable; no royalties.
WebM (video container; the only video container the Radio
Studio accepts)
Reference codecs: libvpx (VP8/VP9) - Google LLC, BSD
3-Clause; libaom (AV1) - Alliance for Open Media, BSD
2-Clause plus the AOM Media Patent License 1.0
Status: VP8, VP9 and AV1 are covered by royalty-free patent
licences; free for commercial use.
5.2 FORMATS WITH NO LICENCE OR ATTRIBUTION OBLIGATION
------------------------------------------------------------
These formats are open containers, open stream layouts or
plain text. No licence, notice or payment is required to read,
write, play or sell them.
MP3 patents expired worldwide (the last expired
in 2017); no licence is needed, including
for commercial sale
WAV (RIFF PCM) open container format
AIFF / AIF / open container format (Audio Interchange
AIFC File Format, IFF family)
AU / SND open container format (Sun/NeXT audio)
DSF / DSDIFF published 1-bit stream format (DSD); the
product performs no DSD decode (no decoder
is bundled)
MIDI / MID / Standard MIDI File specification, freely
KAR published; MIDI-related patents have expired
TTA (True openly published format; no decoder is
Audio) bundled, so no implementation licence arises
M3U / M3U8 / plain-text playlist formats
PLS
5.3 FORMATS DELIBERATELY NOT SUPPORTED (BLOCKED IN THE PRODUCTS)
------------------------------------------------------------
The following licence-bearing formats are blocked at every
import and playback layer of the Radio Studio since v1075CO,
and are not supported by the Universal Soundboard web edition:
AAC, M4A, M4B, M4P, M4R (Via-LA AAC patent pool)
WMA, ASF (Microsoft proprietary)
MP4, M4V, MOV, AVI, MKV, (video containers that carry
3GP, 3G2 H.264/HEVC-class licensed
codecs)
AMR, AWB, GSM (licensed speech codecs)
MP2, MP1 (MPEG-1/2 Audio; blocked
conservatively)
H.264, HEVC and the other MPEG-LA / Via-LA / Access Advance
pooled video codecs are likewise not supported.
Note: the BoxxKandi Universal Soundboard web edition
(soundboard19A) accepts the subset MP3, WAV, Ogg (Vorbis), FLAC and
Opus. All of these are covered by 5.1 and 5.2 above.
As with Section 3, this summary is provided for convenience and is
not legal advice; a review by qualified legal counsel is
recommended before commercial release.
